Dong Style Fast Set Demonstration Idaho Martial Arts Black Belt Investiture

Saturday, December 15, 2024

Our dear friends Shihan Eva Steinwald and Sensei Kaari Wesh invited Shinjimasu to perform the Dong Family Style Fast Set at their 2024 Black Belt Investiture Ceremony. The students enjoyed learning that Tai Chi, like Karate, is a Martial Art. The Fast Set was new and exciting to them, and many said they “held their breath” in anticipation of the next move during the performance! Hanshi Bearg and Sifu Hanson also demonstrated some Tai Chi stances and moves that felt a bit more familiar to the Karate students. What an enjoyable afternoon sharing insights into martial arts and celebrating the trememdous accomplishment of the students who received their black belts!
